About Shirleen Vellah Njoki :
Questions were answered by Maureen Wanjiru Irungu (Shirleen Vellah Njoki 's Mother)
What values or life lessons do you strive to instill in your child, and how do they embody those values?
I strive to instill values like kindness, confidence, responsibility, and perseverance in my child. I want her to understand the importance of treating others with respect, believing in herself, and never giving up on her goals—no matter how challenging things get. She truly embodies these values in her everyday actions. She’s always kind to her friends and family, and she’s quick to include others and offer help when someone is feeling left out or struggling. When it comes to her dreams of becoming a musician and model, she shows dedication and discipline. She practices regularly, takes feedback positively, and keeps pushing herself to improve. Even when things don’t go as planned, she doesn’t give up easily. She’s learning that growth takes time and effort, and I’m proud of how she carries herself with a mix of humility and confidence.
What aspirations or dreams does your child have for their future? How do they plan to achieve them?
My child has big dreams of becoming both a musician and a model. She’s passionate about music and loves singing and playing instruments, and at the same time, she’s very interested in fashion, style, and expressing herself through modeling. To pursue her dream in music, she practices regularly, takes music lessons, and participates in school or community performances whenever she can. She’s also started writing her own songs and is learning how to record and edit her music. As for modeling, she’s been building her confidence by participating in local photo shoots and watching modeling tutorials. She pays close attention to runway shows and fashion trends and enjoys putting together creative outfits and poses. She’s also started working on her portfolio, which will help her take the next steps in the industry. She’s very driven and understands that success in both fields takes dedication, practice, and patience. We’re proud of her ambition and support her every step of the way.
What do you believe makes Shirleen Vellah Njoki truly special and deserving to win this contest?
What makes my child truly special is her unique blend of talent, determination, and a kind heart. She’s not only passionate about music and modeling, but she also puts in the hard work to improve and grow in both areas. She’s confident without being boastful, and she always lifts others up around her. What sets her apart is her authenticity—she’s not trying to be like anyone else. She embraces who she is, expresses herself creatively, and isn’t afraid to chase her dreams. Whether she’s performing on stage or posing in front of a camera, she brings a positive energy that shines through. She’s also humble, respectful, and constantly learning. I believe she deserves to win this contest not just because of her talent, but because of the person she is—genuine, passionate, and driven to make a positive impact.
